This globally-recognized professional certification demonstrates an enhanced understanding of scientific molding knowledge and skills. The knowledge required ranges from an understanding of scientific processing and documentation to having a fundamental working knowledge of die setting, material handling, purging, troubleshooting, and tooling; all based on current industry best practices. The skills testing requires a functional demonstration of practical skills including; scientific molding process development, scientific process documentation, and other critical skills. Successfully passing this certification demonstrates a good working knowledge of scientific injection molding and the related industry best practices.
Who Should Consider Certification:
Anyone working in the plastics industry should consider Level 1 Certification for Injection Molding Professionals. Individuals and engineers can use this certification to improve their standing within the industry or their company. Molding Managers should consider offering this certification to train a strong workforce confident with a fundamental understanding of injection molding.
Any engineer or technician who is involved in developing and optimizing Scientific Molding Processes should consider Certification for Scientific Molding Professionals. Individuals and engineers can use this certification to improve their standing within the industry or their company. Molding and Engineering Managers should consider offering this certification to verify they have a confident processing team with strong capabilities in scientific molding best practices.
How to Get Certified:
Level 2 Scientific Molding Professional certification testing is conducted in 2 stages. Stage 1 involves a comprehensive online test online which takes approximately 1-2 hours to complete with a time limit of 3 hours total. Stage 2 involves completion of hands-on worksheets at an injection molding machine with portions of the session recorded to demonstrate the participant actually completed the materials themselves. This 2-stage approach helps ensure the person has Scientific Molding knowledge as well as applicable Scientific Molding skills.
Once the participant has successfully completed the Level 2 certification test, they will be immediately provided with a confirmation email. After the skills demonstration has been reviewed and approved you will receive, via post, a wallet sized certificate as well as a full-sized certificate suitable for framing within a few weeks. Your records will also be kept on our global database, so additional awards, plaques, and certificate copies can be ordered at any time in the future.
